Pandas Sing for Seniors

The 4th grade annual trip to sing for the seniors was a wonderful and festive occasion for both the audience and the performers. The performance started out with a couple of holiday favorites, prepared by the fourth graders along with Mrs. Dahl. Then some of the students read a short writing piece they worked on with their teachers titled “Why Senior Citizens are Important.” Finally, the students gave the seniors a woven ornament, as a little Christmas gift, that they had been working on with Mrs. Keeley. “It was magical to see the smiles that the kids brought to the Seniors faces,” said fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Bohnen. This is a tradition that started at Passow 6 years ago and the show seems to get better and better each year. “Our kids love the experience of giving back to the community and our wonderful seniors. They get just as much out of it as any of the adults,” explained Mrs. Dahl. Way to go 4th grade team!
