It started off with District 84’s annual Family Math Night. Parents and students came from all four schools to celebrate all things numerical! Students and their families spent time at various game stations like twister, monopoly, and a giant connect four set. Number sense was a focus at the estimation station where kids had to compare groups of ten before they made their guess on all sorts of treats. A number of raffle prizes for the night included games that focus on mathematical concepts. Overall, it was a positive night!
One week later, it was time for Passow’s Family Reading Night: For the LOVE of Books. It was a night that combined the the love of reading with all things Valentine’s. Students got stamps at different stations like the reading circle, the green screen, bingo, and cookie decorating. Participants won bookmarks, pencils, and a raffle for what else, books! A big thanks to Mrs. Tucker, Mrs. Pierson, and all of the Passow teachers and families that came out to celebrate their love for literature!
We are so lucky to have our amazing teachers to plan and take part in these activity nights, as well as our families, who understand the importance of promoting math and reading to our students. What an awesome team the Passow community makes!
